John Peel Day
Monday, September 27th, 2010

From The Line of Best Fit:
“This year’s John Peel Day celebrations in London are taking place on Saturday the 9th of October at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes (in the basement of the Tavistock Hotel). With an awe inspiring collection of over thirty bands and DJ’s lining up to help celebrate John’s life and legacy. Whether it’s some of John’s favourites like Bearsuit , an acoustic set from Miss Black America or some new faces like Superman Revenge Squad, Nedry or Ice, Sea, Dead People – that you know he would have loved – there’s plenty there for everyone.
The event is hoping to raise £2500 for the DEC charity, so come along and have a great time whilst supporting a worthy cause. For more details click here.”

18th July gig in Luton
Sunday, July 6th, 2008
I’ll try not to make a habit out of writing stuff about upcoming gigs BUTTTT seriously: holy shit! We’re playing with Kill Kenada, finally! They’re good friends of ours and a big inspiration to us so I’m glad we can finally play together.
Also, Calories (containing ex-Distophia members) are playing. Their songs sound great and I never managed to see Distophia when they were kicking about (I hope their album ‘Beat Dyslexia’ gets some sort of release, posthumously).
Best of all it’s free, it’s being promoted by (‘Ginger’) John (aka ‘Buyyourself’) and Robin made the flyer:
