‘Diamond Swords’ is a new track we’re particularly fond of—it being the first one we wrote with Jamie—which will feature on our second album. Details: it was recorded live on to tape and mixed live (which is both fun and terrifying) with Tim Cedar (he of Part Chimp-fame) at Dropout Studios, Camberwell. It’s unmastered. It will sound a bit different on the album. Probably.

Anyway, the compilation’s available to buy for £5 with all money going towards Deafness Research UK.

Mr. Robinson welcomed us back into the humble bosom of the BBC last month for a few questions about our new single, ‘Ultra Silence’ and our upcoming releases, et cetera… If you’re not an insomniac then you might have missed it. Listen on:

This is the video for our new single, ‘Ultra Silence’. You can download the track for free at ultrasilence.co.uk in exchange for some social networking errands and the exchanging of highly personal information, all for our own amusement. Not really.

We recorded the song live on to tape with Tim Cedar (Part Chimp), mixed it with Patrick Constable (Selfish C*nt) at Dropout Studios and it was mastered by Justin Saban of Latent Lemon.

We’re celebrating the release with a launch show at the Macbeth (Facebook Event) which promises to be a sweaty one!

As you can expect from a band called “Ice, Sea, Dead People”, we’re a very studious bunch, so it may come as no huge surprise to hear that we’re pretty busy finishing off our degrees at the moment = less gigging, more writing.

We finished mixing our forthcoming EP at Dropout Studios with Tim Cedar (of Part Chimp-fame) this weekend. The whole session was recorded live on to tape and sounds fierce, bitch.

Ice, Sea, Dead People toured twice this year, reclaimed one of their founding-members from the United States, co-released an album with Lost Toys Records, wrote lots of new stuff that you’ll be able to hear next year and, most notably in this news entry, developed a united, democratic voice.
