« Older Entries |Things… Album #3… Tour
Friday, February 7th, 2014
Hey Pals,
So we’re gearing up for album #3. We’re recording it all in early March and aiming it to be released as soon as humanly possible on 12″ wax with a UK/European tour.
We’ve got a to-do list on our blog, which you can check out if you’re at all interested in how a band releases an album and how bloody important every little thing is from now until the last date of the tour.
Yeah! I’ve seen lots of bands start Kickstarters and Pledge Music things on helping fund them to record and wipe their own arses, etc. This route hasn’t really been an option to us; four brothers born under the creed of Messrs. Mackaye, Picciotto, Lally & Canty.
We release our records ourselves anyway. We have a band bank account. We have a fucking Google Docs spreadsheet, dude (we’ve had one for years which has both impressed and embarrassed other bands). Basically, any money you spend on ISDP records/tees/digital music (lol, don’t) goes into paying for recording, or petrol, or pressing a record. It’s our choice to release records. It’s our choice to tour. We’ll do those things and you can come to the shows or buy the records. Easy.
So if you do want to support, just buy our records that already exist. We’ve put it on sale on our Bandcamp to encourage you!
P.S. Lots of shows coming up. See to the right for details.

Our last show of 2013 tonight!
Thursday, December 19th, 2013
Alright? We’re playing our last show of the year tonight at the Old Blue Last. EXPECT: new songs and post-Christmas work party drunken band members.
The gig has also been featured as Amazing Radio’s gig of the day so there’s a little interview (ish) thing on their website with me talking about our big plans for 2014. Album #3, anyone?
Also! Our albums are on sale at the Lost Toys website for £5 until 1st January. Join us or die!

P.S. Expect some sort of round-up of this year in the next post, as it’s been pretty special!

Playing tonight at Catch
Thursday, October 10th, 2013
We’re playing tonight at Catch, 22 Kingsland Road (clever). We have played there so many times that the bar staff roll their eyes when we turn up. Lots of other bands playing (“as per”) and Blood Red Shoes DJing (not “as per”) after our set. It’s going to be good. Craig designed the poster and we’ll have special riso printed versions of the posters to sell at the gig and maybe online afterwards.
Please note: Our next gig after this is on Halloween at a little place called “Catch” on Kingsland Road. We will be playing a bunch of Fugazi songs, which means we will be appealing (or annoying) a wider demographic of people than ever before.

New 7″ Split Single with Council Tax Band
Wednesday, September 4th, 2013
Yes! Two stupidly named Bedford bands unite to release a split 7″ single! Our side contains a couple of tracks ‘Accept the Mystery’ and a new song I’ll post about separately.
For those who haven’t heard Council Tax Band before, they contain ex-Das Wanderlust members and rule with synth and spite. We invited them to play their first ever gig for our Bedford show on the last tour and we shall lead them down the aisle again to release this split seven inch record with them.
You can pre-order the record now from our label, Lost Toys Records for a paltry £4.

Supporting Bo Ningen in Bedford
Sunday, May 26th, 2013
This Friday, Bedfordians are lucky enough to have Bo Ningen playing Bedford Esquire’s “Holy Moly’s” venue and we have been lucky enough to be asked to support. Click the flyer for more details.
Those who saw us with Council Tax Band at Cakey Muto earlier this month will know that Craig fractured his hip. He’s still broken (break it more?) and should be able to stand up but don’t expect much movement! Shucks! x
